Recreate your existing discounts in Stackable
See every discount running on your store in one place, and turn a native Shopify discount into a Stackable draft with one click. What carries over, what needs a quick check, and how the original discount is protected until you turn it off yourself.
The Discounts page shows every discount live on your store, wherever it came from: Shopify’s own native discounts, the campaigns you built in Stackable, and discounts created by other apps. It is one place to see the whole picture, spot discounts that overlap or conflict, and, for eligible discounts, rebuild them in Stackable without re-entering the rules by hand.
One page, every discount
Discounts are grouped into three lists so it is always clear where each one came from:
- Your Stackable discounts: campaigns you created and manage in Stackable.
- Native Shopify discounts: amount off, buy X get Y, and free shipping discounts created directly in the Shopify admin.
- Discounts from other apps: discounts created by any other app installed on the store.
Alongside the lists, the page shows how many of Shopify’s automatic discount slots are in use store-wide, and flags any discounts that run at the same time but are not set to combine, so only one of them can ever apply to a shopper. Each discount also gets an action, matched to what is actually possible for that discount.
Recreating a native discount
For a native Shopify discount, "Recreate in Stackable" reads the original’s rules and builds a draft Stackable campaign from them, ready to open in the builder. It never publishes anything on its own: the draft sits alongside your other campaigns until you review it and decide to publish.
The original is never touched
Stackable does not change or turn off a discount it did not create. Once you are happy with the recreated draft and publish it, you turn off the original yourself in the Shopify discounts admin. The app reminds you to do this so shoppers never see both running at once.
How the recreation maps
Each native discount type has a natural home among Stackable’s campaign types:

What carries over: the discount value, which products, collections, or variants it applies to (including a specific list of variants), any minimum requirement where the two models match, the start and end dates, and how the discount is set to combine with others.
Discounts from other apps
Shopify does not let any app read the internal configuration of a discount created by a different app. That is a deliberate platform privacy rule, and a sensible one. So for discounts from other apps, Stackable cannot offer one-click recreation. Instead it suggests the closest built-in Stackable template so you can rebuild the discount by hand, using whatever details Shopify does expose about it.
When to use it
- Consolidating: bring your discounts into Stackable so everything is managed in one place.
- Upgrading: rebuild a native discount to get Stackable features it does not have natively, like tier ladders, storefront widgets, flexible scheduling, or analytics.
- Cleaning up: see everything running on the store at once, spot conflicts, and migrate the discounts that are worth keeping.
What needs a second look
A recreated draft is never published sight unseen. Every draft opens with a review banner in the builder that lists exactly what carried over from the original and what needs to be confirmed before you publish. The most common items:

| Buy X get Y where the reward is a different specific item | The draft needs this confirmed. By default it assumes the reward discounts the same item that was bought. |
| A very large product or variant list (more than 50 items) | The list is carried over partially and flagged for review, so nothing important is missed silently. |
| A discount from another app | It cannot be read at all, so a template suggestion is offered instead of a draft. |
Nothing is guessed silently
If a detail cannot be carried over faithfully, Stackable never fills it in with a guess. It is flagged in the draft, with what the original discount had, so you always know what changed and what did not.
Helping a merchant (for support)
If a merchant reports that something is missing or different in a recreated draft, the review banner at the top of that draft in the builder is the first place to check. It lists what the original discount had and exactly which fields still need confirming.
- Point them to the review banner in the draft; it explains the gap in the same terms used here.
- Reassure them the original discount is untouched and still running. Nothing changes for shoppers until they publish the draft and turn the original off themselves.
- If the discount in question belongs to another app, explain that Stackable cannot read its setup at all, so a template suggestion is the closest it can offer; recreating it means rebuilding it by hand.
